Education
At ARD, we believe that education is a fundamental aspect of empowering communities and promoting sustainable development. As an organization, we recognize the important role education plays in enhancing livelihoods and promoting socio-economic development. To achieve our mission of enhancing self-reliance and prosperity among pastoralist communities in Somalia, we have implemented various education initiatives. These include the construction of classrooms and the training of teachers and community education committees (CECs). We understand that education is not just about academics, but also about the development of skills and knowledge necessary to navigate the challenges of everyday life. As such, we have integrated education into all our recovery and development programs in Somalia. Our focus on education has had a positive impact on the communities we serve, and we continue to prioritize it in all our initiatives. We believe that through education, we can create a brighter future for vulnerable and marginalized groups in Somalia.
